Monroe Auburn Master Plan

Composed of different block watch groups and strong neighborhood leaders, Monroe Auburn sits along the decaying Monroe Street Corridor but has the ability to better connect to neighboring city parks and the Ottawa River.

Key Findings & Challenges

Working with the Monroe Street Neighborhood Center we have been able to collect data—both quantitative and qualitative—from resident stakeholders. We were also able to make direct contact so far with more than 200 neighborhood residents through a neighborhood canvassing event. From the canvassing and neighborhood feedback we continuously collect, we are beginning to map out a vision for what the future of the neighborhood will look like. Much of the vision will address what happens along Monroe Street, as well as indicating how to better connect residents to the parks they are already using.
